Prayer Request for Grandma in Honduras
She had some major heart malfunction last night and needed quite a bit of care at the clinic. They released her to come home for watchful rest and medication. She is very ill. So, please join the Hill Family in praying for Grandma's speedy recovery and for strength and wisdom for the Vega Family as they tend to her needs. I understand that Nancy is on 24-hour duty with Grandma so ask God to especially bless Nancy, too.
Grandma is such a precious lady! She loves the Lord and she loves her family!
Thanks for your prayers!

Christ Jesus - One Solitary Life
He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself...
While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.
Nineteen long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race and leader of the column of progress.
I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built; all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life.

WHCB 91.5 FM House for Sale in Jonesborough
A listener from Jonesborough left a portion of his estate to WHCB 91.5 FM in his will. This included a house with one acre of land. The house has been completely remodeled and includes fresh paint, a new kitchen with new cabinets and appliances (new stove, new dishwasher), and a new heat pump. The house is 1100 square feet with three bedrooms and one bath with a basement and drive-under garage. WHCB would like to sell the house and use the proceeds to help fund its broadcasting ministry. If you are interested, call Quyen at 423-361-1295 for more information. If you are not interested in the house, please pray that the Lord will send a buyer. Thank you!

Christ is Alive
Christ is Alive!
Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:12-20
Bible Text: “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:14
Has anyone told you that Christ did not rise from the dead? Or perhaps, that even if Christ was not resurrected that it would not matter to the Christians or their faith?
The early church in the city of Corinth apparently had someone spreading the lie that Christ had not risen from the dead. In fact this was the common story that was spread shortly after the resurrection of Christ by those who hated and persecuted Christians.
Paul said that it mattered greatly if Christ had risen from the dead. If fact is was so important that if Christ had not risen, then all his efforts were worthless.
Today, as then, it is still important to understand that the truth of the resurrection of Christ Jesus is the validation of the ministry and Person of Christ. Without the resurrection, we would have no hope.
I am glad that our hope is secure because Christ arose from the dead.
The fact of resurrection is not extraordinary; it is in accord with what we who believe at all believe to be the uniform law of life--that death does not touch it. The witnesses to the resurrection of Christ were unprejudiced, unexpectant, incredulous, and their honesty is not doubted even by skeptical criticism. - Charles Haddon Spurgeon
